The Aprilia RS 125 is one of the best lower engine size bikes around. Aprilia are the leader in this field and offer new designs, concepts and technological advancements. The RS really does set the standards, a superior bike and the top choice for our younger riders with many of it's desing features being taken from it's older sister the Aprilia RSV 1000...




If you have a full driving licence obtained before February 2001 you can ride the 50cc version without any further training (restricted to 30mph). The RS 125 11kw version can be ridden with a valid CBT certificate and a full license is required for the full power version.

Engine: Liquid cooled, single cylinder two stroke. Aluminium cylinder with Nikasil coated liner. Read valve intake. Separate lubrication. Homologated to Euro 3 standards.
Ignition: Electronic CDI ignition.
Front suspension: Upside down hydraulic fork, Ø 40 mm. Wheel travel 120 mm.
Rear suspension: Swingarm with asymmetric members in thin wall box section cast aluminium. Hydraulic monoshock with adjustable spring preload. Wheel travel 120 mm.
Brakes: Front: Floating Ø 320 mm disc. Radial caliper with four differential diameter pistons, Ø 32 mm – Ø 27 mm. Rear: Single Ø 220 mm disc. Caliper with two Ø 30 mm pistons.

It oozes big motorcycle style, handles like a dream and in de-restricted, 30bhp, form the Aprilia RS125 can hit well over a ton. It’s expensive to buy and run thanks to pricey two-stroke motorcycle oil, but, if you can afford it, the Aprilia RS125 is worth every penny.
